Hiring more Martians!

2021 has started in good fashion for us. We've hired a couple of extra people, and we're signing new projects for the rest of the year, so if you want to work on exciting stuff, drop us a line! We're hiring!

In our last update, we shared what we've been up to in the first quarter of this year, which was hiring and selling new projects.

In fact, this hasn't changed, and we're on a very positive trend, right now.

For one, we're seeing more project requests coming our way than ever before. Way more than we ever had even before the outbreak of the pandemic, which either shows that we're on our way to an economic recovery or that tech is in a bubble of its own. My guess: I'd put my money in the latter, only.

In addition to the clients we have already signed in the last weeks, such as Rundit, Singularu and some extra work for our favourite Swedish clients Prototyp, we're on the verge of signing two or three new contracts. If they should materialise, we'd be virtually fully booked for the entire year.

We're hiring!

We have already incorporated two people into our team, this year: José Miguel Malaca, as a Ruby on Rails developer, hailing from Portugal, and Núria Llonch, as our first project manager in the company.

To help us with the new projects and the current ones, we keep needing more people on the tech side, so if you're a Ruby on Rails and/or a JavaScript developer, please drop us a line! Likewise, we're also looking for a person to help us with all of our marketing projects.

Our motto is "Alien Ideas, Human Code". We face business the same way we approach life, with our heads up, a limitless mindset and strong core values. We take on projects the same way we engage with technology, with a fascination for novelty, endless enthusiasm, and creative sophistication.

What does that mean? You will find a select group of professionals, who, besides being very skilled at what they do, they're very good people. We never work beyond 40 hours per week, we host our own hackathons and company days (now, only online) and have a very strong company culture focused on remote work, work/life balance, quality over quantity, technical specialisation and simplicity.

If you want to know more about who we are, what we do and how we work, take a look at the MarsBased handbook and if you're convinced already, check our job openings.
